CHRYSALIS: Associate Artists (18 – 25 yrs)

Six emerging artists are invited to join Canberra Youth Theatre as Associate Artists in 2012. 

Chrysalis: Associate Artists is for emerging artists who have accumulated some experience in their chosen discipline and wish to take a further step by building the skills necessary to transition into full time tertiary training or the professional industry.

Applications are open to: Directors, Designers (Set, Costume, Make-up), Technical Production (Lighting, Sound, Crew), Management (Stage, Production), Playwrights and Producers.

The Associate Artists will work with the Artistic Director and a mentor throughout the year on a practial program of Staged Readings, Public Performance events and personal projects, designed to extend their training in their specific discipline.

All disciplines will work collaboratively, building creative communication skills and gaining experience in multiple facets of the creative process.
