Holiday Workshops
Create. Act. Play. Perform. Canberra Youth Theatre runs fun drama workshops during school holidays for young people aged 7-15. The workshops actively engage the imaginations of the participants as they play games, create characters and tell stories. There is a short performance at the end of the week for family and friends.
Grossed Out! holiday workshop for ages 10-12
Smelly old Mrs Pumpernickle has invited you over to her mansion for dinner, but all is not as it seems behind her gold-plated doors. Help us devise a disgusting tale of adventure and mystery as you come face to face with the things that go slime in the night.
Grossed Out will conclude with a short performance for family and friends.
Hoopla! holiday workshop
Roll up! Roll up! The circus is in town! Bring your best red nose with you as you bumble and tumble your way through clown school, and learn amazing new skills to delight your friends.
This workshop will focus on theatrical circus and clowning, and is suitable for all fitness levels. Hoopla will conclude with a short performance for family and friends.
Musical! Musical! holiday workshop
A unique opportunity to work with EMMA DEAN! Is your life a musical? Does the sound of silence make you crazy? Would you rather sing for your supper?
Join our special guest tutor, fabulous Brisbane songstress Emma Dean in adapting an amusing tale of adventure into an original musical to be performed for family and friends at the end of the week-long workshop. Emma is one of Australia's hottest musical perofrmers and has been labelled the "Tim Burton of Australian musical theatre".
