We’re already at the end of Semester 1, how did this happen???
We’ve seen amazing End of Semester performances at Gorman Arts Centre this week, two nights of clever new theatre created by seven year olds all the way up to 18 year olds, displaying diversity, intense focus and a clear desire to say important things about our place in the world. Thank you to our wonderful tutors who worked so hard to give these pieces life and guided our young artists through the semester to produce these outstanding final works.
We’re gearing up now for a string of productions at CYT. We had our first rehearsal for versions of us last weekend, with the ensemble and sense of importance around this work really beginning to strengthen. The Verbatim Project will soon go into rehearsal for our Canberra season, followed by our Sydney tour in July – tickets are now on sale for the Canberra season so get in quick! We’re coming to the end of the development stage now for The Company Ensemble show, poem every day, and rehearsals are beginning to intensify as we begin piecing it all together, ready to open at the Ainslie Arts Centre in August. CYT is literally a hive of creativity right now and it’s brilliant to be in!
Our Primary School Workshop Programs are rehearsing intensely for their End of Semester performances soon and we can’t wait to visit and see what they’ve prepared.
Don’t forget, the enrolments for Semester 2 are now on sale for Gorman Arts Centre Workshops and in two weeks for our Primary School Workshops. Be sure to go to our website so you don’t miss out on a place!
Enjoy the foggy mornings!
