Cold!!! It’s here. Every year I forget about this bit, and then I remember that’s why we plan so many fabulous things over Winter to keep our minds off the chill!

We are very excited to announce that The Verbatim Project will be having another Canberra season in 2017! The Canberra Theatre Centre will be hosting our show in the Courtyard Theatre for two performances only before we travel to Sydney for our season at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP). We know how many people missed out on seeing the work last year and we’re thrilled that they now have the opportunity to see it. Tickets will go on sale soon.

Preparation for The Verbatim Project tour has begun. Last week Alicia and I went to Sydney to see the space we will be performing in at ATYP. There will be some rearranging of the original work to fit into this new space but our brilliant cast and creative team will have it totally under control after a week of intensive rehearsals in July. Tickets are on sale through ATYP and they’re really starting to sell, so if you’re planning on going up to Sydney to see the show, book now!

Auditions for our final show of the year, versions of us, are taking place this week. We are so happy to announce our Co-Directors for this project – Jess Baker and Jamie Winbank, who will be collaborating with Playwright and CYT alumna Emily Sheehan and the cast, to develop this fantastic new work. Our first creative development is coming up in July and we can’t wait!

Stay warm and enjoy the autumn colours!
