SO YOU WANT TO BE AN ACTOR….

The Workshop Program is about Process. Through engagement in weekly acting workshops, CYT provides a place where young and emerging artists can actively develop the fundamental performance skills which will allow them to successfully navigate, over time, the demands from a short performance to a full length production.

Acting Ensembles use drama games and activities to train skills in improvisation, voice, movement, character, storytelling and theatre making in a variety of styles and structures.

Each Actors Ensemble has a specific program developed to incorporate strong fundamentals in acting through a variety of skills and performance styles.  Actors work collaboratively with their tutor to create a performance outcome, based on the interests and skills of the class, culminating in a final performance for family and friends at the end of each semester.
