By Audition Only (18 – 25 years)

Senior Actors Ensemble is designed for actors who have completed secondary school and who wish to pursue advanced actor training. Actors develop core skills in acting technique, movement, voice, improvisation, script analysis, broadcasting, audition technique and performance making. The program provides opportunities to put those skills to practical use, in a myriad of public performances. The Senior Actors Ensemble is committed to ensuring that actors develop their craft holistically and this includes critical experience of performing with and without audience, in both live performance and studio-based acting contexts.

Canberra Youth Theatre is committed to providing exceptional training and pathways to emerging artists, equipping actors with the skills needed to transition into full time industry based training courses or into the industry direct. We recognize the value in connecting artists to industry professionals and offer multiple opportunities for these networking connections throughout the year.

Performance Opportunities
The Seed: Staged Readings, Voice-Over recordings at ArtSound, Live & Solo Original performance works, 24-hr Play Festival and a polished, text-based production with 3 night season for public performance.
